Apply for the 2025 Keeling Curve Prize
Welcome to the Keeling Curve Prize application portal! We'e thrilled to invite you to
submit your innovative climate solutions for consideration in the 2025 prize cycle.
Why Apply? The Keeling Curve Prize is dedicated to recognizing and supporting
groundbreaking projects addressing the global climate change challenge. Winners and
finalists receive financial support, increased visibility, networking opportunities, access
to our fellowship program, where you can request up to three interns a semester, and
connections to further funding and growth.

Application Cap: We have a cap of 500 applications. Our system will allow applications to be submitted until the deadline, but only the first 500 submissions that meet all the requirements will be eligible for the prize. We encourage you to submit your application as early as possible to ensure it is considered for the prize.

Ready to apply? All applications must be submitted through our online portal by January 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM IDLW (UTC−12:00).
Follow these steps to apply:

- Log in and Start Your Application:
- Complete the Application:
- Fill out all sections across the three tabs: Eligibility, General, and Application Questions.
- You can save your progress at any time and return to finish later by logging into your account. Saved applications are accessible from your account dashboard.
- Some application questions will allow you to upload supplemental materials and documents. Please ensure all your attachments have been appropriately uploaded before submitting your application. We cannot accept supplemental materials after your application is received.
- We recommend saving your responses in a separate document as a backup in case of any technical issues.
- If you have applied in previous years, please select your organization’s name from the prepopulated list when creating your application.
- Submit Your Application:
- Once your application is complete, click “Review and Submit” in the top left corner.
- Review your responses carefully before submitting.
- Important: You must press “Submit” before the deadline. Saved applications that are not submitted will not be considered.

About Our 500 Application Cap
We understand that the application cap may cause confusion, so we want to be as
transparent as possible about how it works. While we set a cap of 500 applications, this
doesn’t mean we close the portal as soon as that number is reached. Our priority is not
simply to reach a numerical limit but to ensure we are reviewing high-quality
applications that align with our eligibility requirements.
By "high-quality," we mean applications that are:
- Thoroughly completed: All required sections and fields are filled out with detailed, thoughtful information.
- In line with our eligibility criteria: The project must clearly demonstrate how it addresses the climate crisis by reducing, removing, or replacing greenhouse gases.
Once we reach 500 applications, we will evaluate whether we’ve received 500 eligible and high-quality submissions. If we have not, we may keep the portal open to ensure
we are reviewing the best projects. This process helps us identify the top solutions and ensures fairness to those who invest time and effort in their applications.
In short, to improve your chances of being considered, submit early and make sure your
application is as complete and detailed as possible.
