During a test of an ocean base wave energy system at Texas A&M wave pool, it was observed that the device did not use any energy from the wave as it moved up and down on the wave while producing power. What if we could use a similar device in a controlled environment generating waves and then harness this energy to produce electricity? Thus, AQuarius Energy System was borne. Over the past several years we have designed a system that can produce very efficient waves while producing hydro power. I built a prototype in my garage using a 10 foot pool, that demonstrated the design and proved the underlining sciences. The prototype was shown to produce more output work than input work to generate and maintain the waves. Based upon this success, I built a second prototype in my back yard using a 26 foot off the shelf swimming pool that once again proved the underlining sciences and the system design. The next step is to build a full-scale pilot system that will demonstrate the key technical and commercial parameters.
