Project Summary / Description:
After living with a cold bathroom, I wanted to be warm when stepping out of the shower. My company, Beach Palms LLC, is developing a Bluetooth-enabled shower caddy, SHOWER SOUNDS, to let mobile users safely use their cellphones in the shower with additional storage for a dry towel and valuables. The container is an injection-molded product that has storage for a towel and valuables. A Mylar screen on the door enables mobile users to see and tap their phone screen and answer calls. A Bluetooth speaker is attached to the door with suction cups. The caddy may also save energy because a wet body requires more heat to stay comfortable. Drying off in the shower means temperatures do not have to be raised to keep the skin warm after stepping out of the shower. Consumers may decide to lower their home temperature because they will stay warm and dry after stepping out of the shower, thus saving energy. This product disrupts the bathroom landscape because it may save energy and provides comfort, security, and convenience to consumers. Our mission is to place shower caddies in millions of homes, apartments, and dorms so the bathroom landscape will be disrupted and transformed. We have a prototype which needs adjustments and we need to work on the Mylar window. We are compiling surveys and will start a crowd funding campaign to raise funds for manufacturing. After the funds are raised, we can order injection molds and start hiring for our first manufacturing run.
