Around the world, 100's of millions of people are living in rural areas have no access to electricity or are dependent on diesel generation. Yet, at the same time most of these people live near bodies of flowing water from rivers or tidal estuaries. Knowing that the energy density of water is 800 times that of wind, there is a large potential solution to this problem left untapped. 
BladeRunner Energy is bringing to market an affordable renewable energy solution that harnesses the reliable power found in the natural flow of water in order to bring clean, affordable and reliable power to these remote, rural communities.

Historically, women are carrying the heaviest loads in maintaining and upbringing families in developing countries. We believe that by providing affordable, reliable clean power to remote, rural communities who currently lack power or are dependent on expensive and polluting diesel generation, we can alleviate women, children and entire families by simply providing light to read and connect these families to the world.
