We are scaling our Solar Driven vision nationally. Our project is a four-year endeavor to deploy over 1,000 Brightfield Charging Stations across the country. We have devised the strategy, designed and engineered the scalable product line, forged the strategic partnerships, and build the client pipeline necessary to achieve our project goal. This project is born out of the necessity to reduce transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions and increase energy security by providing public EV charging infrastructure that offsets EV electricity demand with on-site renewable energy. BTS started in 2009 with the vision to shift from fossil fuel dependency to Driving on Sunshine. The Brightfield Charging Station is the manifestation of that vision. In 2011 BTS deployed the nation‚ first three solar-integrated public charging stations with the support of the US D.O.E., NC Department of Commerce and others. Since then we have partnered with Nissan, BMW, NRG Energy and others to deploy some of the first DC Fast Chargers in the country across NC and TN, and we have sold over 100 charging stations in 5 states to utilities, municipalities, retailers, universities, and workplaces. This success has set the stage to deliver Brightfield Charging Stations at scale. BTS is the only EV charging station developer with a patented grid-connected system for integrating generation, storage and delivery of solar fuel to America‚ electric vehicles.
