Project Summary / Description:

Purpose - localise cell-manufacturing to ensure high quality and environmentally friendly cells.
When - we came together in 2020 and have been in R&D since.
Why - we saw a scenario where Africa would be importing cells from big countries that sometimes can experience changes - eg Ukraine War that's affecting the cost of energy locally
How - two friends with the interest, diligence and the determination to make the project a reality.

For starters our project presents a cleaner environment for all.

Furthermore, bikes and tuk tuks (three-wheelers) are typically driven by the youth in Africa. We make it easier for them to afford to transition to green locomotion

People of colour - our project is in Kenya and serving regional markets

Women - our cells can be used in storage systems - these can form lighting in solar-powered homes benefitting women and families.

Mission Statement:

The team came together to build a lithium-ion cell plant. Founded by Ngotho Gathu with background in finance and Eng Alois Mbutura with the engineering expertise leveraging on the knowledge of our resident material scientist.
We intend to manufacture cells using the latest technology with the major markets being East and Central Africa.
