Do you know this feeling when your mind, soul and body are in tune? When you feel complete? To me this happens when I am outside. When I finally make it to the top of a mountain and enjoy the incredible view or after I come to rest after day's hike on a remote beach and listen to sea. Then, all the noise disappears and happiness sets in. Ideally, there is someone important next to me to share this moment. People and Nature. Those are the reasons why I started CarbonBuddy. They are my motivation.

CarbonBuddy focuses on (offset) projects that deliver benefits beyond emission reduction. This includes the reduction of inequality in our societies, sustainable farming practices and native habitat restoration. We see inequality as a fundamental problem to societies and climate change along with our need to rebuild our energy systems (and much more) as an unprecedented opportunity to reduce inequality by making sure that cheap, clean, renewable energy is accessible to low-income families and individuals. Small savings for low-income parts of society can make big differences in the quality of lives of many if done right. Reduction of inequality and increasing opportunities will support economic and gender diversity in our society since it often benefits woman and minorities. Developing projects like this require more resources but it allows us to address multiple issues at the same time making them efficient not from a sole monetary perspective but from a societal viewpoint.
