Project Summary / Description:

My mother always concerns about dropped food wastes in every corner of Addis Ababa and the smells created by those wastes around every road in the city and she told me you have to work over this issue, Then I realize this problem is serious, after that I study how can I overcome this so I try to search and look for different solutions, I get that giving food scraps to the chickens is normal in Ethiopia and there egg is so testy and has high demand. Then I choose what if I process it in to poultry feed because poultry feed is the big issue in Ethiopia so we can solve two problems at once.

Mostly women‚ are the one who participate in food waste management in Ethiopia and other part of the world, so my company stands to give 1 hour training for those women‚ who work in kitchen. How they put the food waste in our smart basket. The basket has the humidity, location, temperature and weight sensor that help to preserve the food from spoilage, creates economical transportation path, and safe processing technics. And process the food waste to poultry feed. Those women‚ will be our employee and they will get financial income.
