Project Summary / Description:
Our carbon negative exchange was incorporated in April 2021. We felt that far too many financial exchanges aren't pushing for ESG exclusivity, while they also use the majority of their income for private profits rather than social good and environmental protection. Many exchanges also don't utilise blockchain technology, which can increase security, efficiency, decreasing processing times, and increase transparent governance. We aim to create a new financial platform, one that swaps the traditional capitalist nature of investing into one that is in harmony with philanthropy. By whitelisting tokens, we push for more impactful investment choices and help investors discover various ethical public companies. Users will be able to track how many kilograms of CO2 they've sequestrated during their investing, as well as various other non-profit contributions (all transparently provided through smart contracts).

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
We offer our token exchange to an international audience, with no restrictions to who can support carbon offsetting (while also potentially making a profit through their token trading). We would consider our team relatively young to be running this start-up, with our ages between 21-25. However, we didn't let our ages limit our motivation to achieve launching our V1 model. We also look push more commission routes to help fight climate change in countries such as Malawi, thanks to our close connection with government members within the country. We hope to boost more carbon sequestration projects through future commissions. Although not directly related to the climate movement, we do help to provide meals to those who are fighting famine. Climate change is one of the biggest drivers of international famine, where we hope our nonprofits routes can help to combat this suffering.
