Project Summary / Description:

Over the past few months my team and I have been working relentlessly to build a platform that can drive positive change in society. I was fortunate enough to get an amazing opportunity to present an idea of mine in a global startup event for a sustainable revolution. Luckily I attracted a passionate and driven team to work with, which lead to us winning the local Hong Kong event. We then went on to be in the finalists across the globe and won an incubation with Bridge for Billions.

The name EcoFoote credits the women who discovered the greenhouse gas effect. Eunice Newton Foote was never given recognition for her discovery for what has essentially allowed us to understand global warming and climate change. Her discovery was stolen and credited to a man with power and money, which seemed to be the problem of most inventions in her eyes as one of the first women's rights activists. She stated that 'over half the inventions worldwide were discovered by women, but because men had the money, connections and power, women were never given credit for their discoveries'.
