Mission Statement:

Since 1973, the Endangered Wildlife Trust is dedicated to conserving threatened species and ecosystems in southern and East Africa to the benefit of all people. The African Crane Conservation Program (ACCP) is one of its programs, and partners across Africa with the International Crane Foundation, which was also founded in 1973, to save cranes and the places cranes dance.

The project here being presented (known as the Drakensberg project) is predominantly located in eastern South Africa within the grassland biome within the Drakensberg (Dragon's Mountain) and also within the Karoo (in southern South Africa) rangeland biome. Our project is however a pilot and we intend to roll-out a similar approach where appropriate in the areas where we work in Zambia, Uganda and Kenya.
