Project Summary / Description:
Green Artists is a 5-month green project: awareness, training and artistic actions, aims at raising the awareness of people concerning the environmental issues in a cultural way. The project gathers all interested groups and specialists to address the air pollution as a substantial issue, affecting living conditions and leading to related matters. It works on changing people attitudes and bad practices to mitigate the impact of polluted air within communities. Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Gender inclusivity is a cross-cutting priority for green art. The sustainable environmental art can only be achieved with the participation of all members of society, regardless of any particular aspects of their identity, such as gender, religion, race, class, age, or nationality. Women are active agents in both art and culture, as well as agents of change in environmental issues. Women contribute to quality of life in their local communities, as well as at national, regional, and international levels. Our project supports community to integrate gender-sensitive peacebuilding perspectives into their work. Two areas we focus on are: 1.Training and participation, through sessions and workshops 2.Policy and advocacy, through media campaigns and promotional tools.
