In addition, 47 percent of rural people use unsafe water that they fetch far away from their residence. Environmental protection and sustainability of key economic sectors. 45% of domestic revenue and 60 percent of foreign market revenue depends on agriculture, where agriculture as the backbone of our economy 100% depends on the environment, so as an organization we understood and took the vast initiative to provide environmental conservation education particularly to women with our future focus to also including youth as we are focus to conserve our environment for today and future generations. Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
As stated earlier to the objective of our project, our core focus is to educate women and youth not only on the effective practices and importance of conserving our environment but also on the lead role they can take to ensure they spearhead the initiatives which aim at creating inclusiveness of all communities groups in environmental conservation projects. One of our areas of focus is to ensure that women understand that they have to participate in environmental policies and program development as well as the implementation of those policies. Whereby we have worked with the government environmental authority to ensure that women from these local communities have representatives in the meetings and environmental discussions. Whereby under this project we have managed to include five women in the decision-making committees around the Kisarawe area. This initiative goes hand in hand with training and emphasize the environment stakeholders on the importance of gender integration in renewable energy policy, ensuring Gender Equality in Climate Action, gender responsiveness and disability inclusion in global warming mitigation projects
