FASO ELEVAGE locally manufactures solar egg incubators and makes them available to small chicken farmers under an innovative rent-to-own finance approach. 
Our company is building a model of greening the poultry sector in Africa that sustains the income of millions of people. Since 2016, we have made available over 4,000 solar egg incubators and built dozens of eco-friendly poultry buildings of all sizes.

Similar to many African countries, Agriculture and Rearing represent vital and significant economic activities. In Burkina Faso, animal husbandry employs nearly 86 percent of the working population, a country particularly vulnerable to climate change located in the Sahel region. Although poultry farming is significant, traditional methods do perpetuate income poverty among the small chicken farmers. 
By fixing one key chain in the poultry value chain which is the production of chicks thanks to now solar egg incubators, we have on average improved by 30% the income of small chicken farmers and especially shed light on how embracing new environmental habits can and is beneficial for them ad their families.
