Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Most of the Get Plastic projects are managed by young people from various regions in Indonesia. The involvement of young people in waste management programs that can protect the environment is one of the main points in this program. Because the works of environmental protection is a big responsibility for the younger generation. A waste-free environment will certainly reduce carbon emissions in the future, therefore the role of young people and their involvement in this project is important to see how the waste problem can be solved by the next generation. The involvement of young people in the struggle to manage and process the waste, especially plastic, is one of our strategy to build an equal representation for young people. So, their role in an environment protection becomes a central role, no longer a mere supporting role.
