On February 18, 2020, the Government of Antioquia, headed by Governor An bal Gaviria Correa, declares the climate emergency as a responsible bet with the department, the nation and the planet, in order to define a clear route to mitigate the harmful effects of climate change. Therefore, within the development plan that was in the process of being formulated, the designation of the "Climate Emergency Seal" was contemplated, which seeks to advance actions that contribute to the management of climate change from the different dependencies of the entity and of this In this way, contribute to resilient agricultural and urban development, care for ecosystems and their services, promotion of clean energy and transportation, and the promotion of regional competitiveness and the promotion of new economies. In addition, through the "United for the Planet" Alliance, it has the firm intention of articulating all sectors so that, from their competencies, they work UNITED for a common, convergent and complementary agenda, in order to manage resources and knowledge in national and international networks, planning, financing, public policy instruments, among others, are adjusted to promote concrete actions that join efforts; thus promoting structural changes to face the challenges posed by climate change.

This is a transversal strategy to the execution of the missionary actions that the Government of Antioquia has, managing to impact the entire territory and, with this, all the populations of the region. However, it is important to highlight that the Secretariat for Women has been promoting that the projects carried out in the entity have broad participation from this sector; An example of this can be seen in the reforestation project, which has 30% women of the total process staff.
