Project Summary / Description:

Our 2 directors established the company in 2022 to formalize small scale efforts within offices to segregate waste at source.
Unfortunately, waste collectors would still mix these separated items during garbage runs, negating the clients' purposes. We address this problem by instead managing the waste at client receptacles & ensuring recovery and value addition & sell the quality consolidated segregated waste directly to reusers/ recyclers. 

We train & offer jobs especially to blue-collar workers, addressing unemployment challenges to the disenfranchised. 

Our processes once optimized with our Digital App Platform would achieve at least 95% waste diversion from landfill, help address environmental degradation & health issues associated with improper waste management, while helping clients achieve their ESG goals.

Currently, formal waste collection practices & services in Kenya seem to be the preserve of affluent neighbourhoods. It is almost acceptable to find waste strewn irresponsibly in informal settlements, while major landfills are also situated close to these poor neighbourhoods.

Our approach is to train & hire especially these blue-collar level citizens in our business model of responsible waste management. With their buy-in and upon seeing the benefits of this approach to more affluent neighborhoods that they work in, they would replicate the practice of segregation & proper waste disposal/ recycling within the targeted 10,000 households in the near future. They are our informal ambassadors for a larger campaign that needs everyone‚ involvement regardless of their social status.

Our staff comprises unemployed youth in the lower cadre of society, jobless women also in the same level in society & a few high school & college graduates who do not have employment opportunities yet. Through our project optimization we target direct and indirect employment of over 1000 youth 55% female gender.

Our market currently does not have major focus in waste management firms addressing this challenge comprehensively, thus we are addressing it progressively beginning with various client properties in Nairobi. We have portfolio clients that have properties around the country, thus we shall roll out to all their sites. 

Our experts assess waste streams & develop bespoke recycling & disposal solutions, working closely with clients to customize localized recycling & waste diversion solutions that cut costs, generate revenue, safeguard health & foster sustainability. 

We target 90% accuracy in terms of recyclables identified & removed from the waste streams that we handle. Reduced amounts of waste end up in landfills while valuable recyclables are sold & repurposed appropriately while organic waste is utilized sustainably as pig feed or compost upon processing.
