Project Summary / Description:

After 20 years of climate activism, I can say without hesitation that 2019 was the most successful year for citizen engagement, with climate emergency declarations being declared by 1,248 governments, representing 800 million people. By midsummer, I knew that the 2020s would be the most critical decade in our civilization‚ history, and that I needed to produce something powerful for the start of the new decade. 

Canada‚ minority Liberal government has a very pro-climate attitude, and the NDP and Green MPs all support more aggressive climate action, creating a secure majority in Parliament for much stronger action.

The project contains 164 policies, several of which focus on the role of social enterprise in advancing climate solutions, including hiring people who experience barriers to employment, and the role of Canada‚ First Nations. There is also inclusion of the need for building retrofit and similar training to include more women as engineers.
