This project would provide 300 W DK Stand Alone Solar System to 100 families in Port-au-Prince. Phase one recipients would include employees of Heartline Ministries ‚ Haiti. Each unit would include 1 Solar panel 100W/18V, 1 Integrated Box, LCD Controller 10A/12V, 1 300W/DC12V -AC220V/110V,1 Battery 65Ah/12V, 1 Accessories, PV Cable 10M, PV Connector1 Set, 5W LED 3PCS,Light Cable 3PCS and training on usage.
Amount: $550. Per unit $55,000 total.

The primary reason is access to power. As noted above, most Haitian households have limited access to a reliable, consistent source of electricity. A solar system will help to either add to their existing power grid or, for many, be the first time they've had access to consistent power.
