Project Summary / Description:
The project was formed out of necessity, waste management is responsible to dispose / treat an average 500 lbs. of waste materials a day. OPEN BURNING is the common practice. And we are concerned about the health effects, The Silent Killer. Financially the hospital cannot buy or support a conventional incinerator, likewise the country infrastructure. So we decided to design our own system that would give us a High-Tech result. And reducing the emissions that we produce to a minimum. The product is a complete package that a community could build maintain their Waste treatment, reducing Open Burning.

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Yes the project supports the daily operations of the hospital, to provide the safest environment for the Patients , Staff and Community. Waste management is a critical part of the infrastructure. the costs are very high but if managed well and we have a sustainable system we will save costs. The Hospital gender diversity is 75% female, mostly Healthcare Workers and managers. For the operation of the project so far we have only had a few female skilled workers , masons and one welder. as we devolve the recycling we hope that the % will be 50% female . Here it seems that the women are better business minded people. So we think it is a good fit.
