Project Summary / Description:

The project aims at filling the knowledge gap of millennials on the environment. Indicus has been involved in enhancing knowledge that encourages action for researchers and implementers (IDEA Roundtables), policymakers (Indicus Policy Notes), and informed opinion-makers (The Unearth Bulletin). The video channel aims to engage with a larger cohort that will lead humanity‚ fight against climate change in the days to come. Short, engaging, and simple videos with robust information followed by a specific call to action (eg. forward to others, write to government <email>, sync your lifestyle with the environment, etc.

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Due to prevalent economic and social systems in most parts of developing countries such as India, women and lower-income communities are the most vulnerable to changing environment. Indicus has been a strong advocate of inclusion and ensures participation by all major stakeholders in all its endeavours including its research and IDEA Roundtables. Continuing this focus, Unearth.Live gives special preference to story submissions by women creators. Moreover, the unheard voices of females and lower-income marginalised communities will be given greater emphasis.
