Mission Statement:

The Israel Bamboo Company builds on knowledge and experience accumulated over the past 28 years by Ran Lichtner, a world-renowned bamboo expert and owner of the "Bamboo Center" in Israel.

We will establish a thriving bamboo industry in Israel by: 

1) Using vacant / degraded land
2) Using excess water from wastewater treatment
3) Growing bamboo near constructed wetlands created by our partners for CO2 removal as well
4) Convert excess biomass to biochar
5) Generate revenue from carbon credits
6) Partner with R&D institutions in Israel to develop technology and industrial uses for Bamboo
7) Launch a market education campaign to increase demand for bamboo and bamboo products.

And creating these benefits:

1) Capture large amounts of CO2 
2) Produce sustainable alternatives to polluting industries.
3) Create jobs and professional training for young people
4) Heal the land and purify the water
