Project Summary / Description:

This project was formed because I have been a community organizer with 350.org and a climate educator with The Climate Reality Project for the past 10 years. Once people learn about climate change they ask, what can I do? So, I wrote a field manual as a Masters project to help build the climate justice movement by providing easily accessible information on climate justice, effective climate communication and social movement building all in one place and for free. People can buy a print copy just for the cost of printing and shipping.

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

This project is all about building the climate justice movement which means promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the movement as well as addressing global climate justice. Climate justice is social, racial, economic and environmental justice. The outreach will be primarily with groups that are indigenous or POC or are working with such groups. This is a multi-racial, intergenerational cause and thus the project is to support those groups that are most impacted to help elevate their voices for change.
