Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
KALTANI‚ project aims to address and solve multiple UN Sustainable development goals. For a developing nation with 200 Million people this could be quite monumental. See below the multiple SDG‚ addressed SDG1 - Zero Poverty SDG 5 - Gender equality SDG 8 - Decent work & economic growth SDG 9- Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure SDG 13 - Climate Action SDG 14 - Life below water SDG - 15 - Life on land SDG 17 - Partnership for the goals Our project supports economic growth by creating jobs for 75 employees directly and 1,000 bottom of the pyramid individuals indirectly. It supports economic growth by sale of PET flakes which is our product, and serves as a raw material for other industries e.g. polyester fiber manufacturing. These sales aid in increasing our countries exports and positively to Nigeria GDP. As we scale in our plants capacity which is currently being built for 500kg/hr we will create thousands of jobs directly and thousands more indirectly, which will only support more gender and economic diversity. It is worth mentioning 40% of our work force directly will be women, and 70% of our indirect workers will be women as well. Also note our studies show us that we scale comfortably from 500kg/hr to 10,000kg/hr and possibly more in the next 5-10 years based on the projected growth rate of PET waste which is scheduled to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16%.
