Despite the urgency and public pressure, taking climate action remains a mystery to most companies. A recent survey found that most have yet to measure their carbon footprints or set reduction targets. Of those that have taken the first steps, many are not living up to their pledges.

Over 60% of businesses do not know where to begin regarding climate action. According to the SME Climate Hub, access to skills and knowledge is the biggest barrier. This contrasts with the wealth of technical guidance available to the private sector. However, much of the practical knowledge needed to turn this guidance into implementation is fragmented, not shared due to competitive reasons, or hidden behind the paywalls of specialized providers. 

At LFCA, our purpose is to help change that.

Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses), Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption), Removes/stores GHGs (e.g., projects that capture, sequester, or otherwise enhance the "sinks" that accumulate and store GHGs)

LFCA GmbH, a for-profit company and a subsidiary of LFCA Umweltschutz e.V., operates our community. Members pay fees for their membership. All profits serve the mission of the parent, non-profit company.

LFCA Umweltschutz e.V., an incorporated non-profit entity with public benefit status, stewards the overall mission and develops the underlying infrastructure of LFCA.
