Project Summary / Description:

Our eCommerce business has currently grown and adopted a ‚ delivery by cyclist‚ model (Bykes) a service responding to the need for efficient delivery and carbon print reduction within mostly rural and job creation for youth from slum areas.
We are dedicated to the buying and selling of commodities from our platform SoKo (https://thesokostore.com/) and the delivery to customers via express courier, all by bicycle. This allows us to reach further, work faster and better, cheaper, and environmentally friendly. Also ensuring last-mile access to the marginalized. 
We recognize that poor air quality, congestion, coupled with decreasing capacity on African roads are challenging issues that demand innovative solutions. Average traffic speed in urban areas is 40km/ph., with vehicular penetration being at a low 45%. With our delivery platform and mode, cyclists are up to 30% faster in the urban areas, 60% penetrative within marginalized areas. 
The project was founded on 1st October 2021 and has been up and running since then.
