Project Summary / Description:
The Purpose of my Innovation is to use creativity and innovation to build a better Africa and provide sustainable electricity and increase food supply for an average sierra Leonean living below $1.25 a day. Since only 15% of the National Population, and 1% of rural communities have access to electricity I want Sierra Leone to be food sufficient and increase the standard of Living, I want to continue recycling waste and other scrap yard materials into hybrid power systems that tackle the food production and electricity challenge in Sierra Leone.

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Our target users and customers including rural communities, farmers, hospitals, schools, farms, private and public companies. There is only 1% electricity access in rural communities in Sierra Leone our solution is needed in all rural communities in Sierra Leone. Our innovation is solving the electricity and food production challenge by improving access to electricity and increasing food production by supplying water throughout the year, as our irrigation system is the ultimate solution to cheap, affordable and sustainable electricity supply in Sierra Leone. This system has improved the lives of ordinary Sierra Leoneans who cannot afford the huge cost involving of using fossil fuel generators. We have contributed in improving education in the farming communities by Lighting up schools, homes and other study access places to studying at night. We have increased in revenue generation in these communities and increase household income of hundreds of women who are involved directly in using this electricity to increase their revenue in the business. We have transformed vulnerable communities into happy home by Lighting up their homes with the most sustainable and affordable electricity supply
