Retailers squeeze suppliers with insane payment terms and there's no reliable way to control the carbon impact of a shipment (suppliers need money to operate and that 30% of GHG come from transportation) ‚Äî Lockstep provides suppliers with immediate supply chain financing that rewards sustainable practices with better rates (i.e. the greener the shipment, the better the interest rate). 

We score everything that moves and use that to drive the interest rates for our loans -- which lets us turn trade finance into an ESG-investable asset class (supporting the $1.5tn trade financing gap while indirectly reducing emissions)

We provide capital to suppliers who are traditionally unable to receive it from other trade finance institutions (our cost of KYC/AML is MUCH lower than a traditional bank, so we are able to take on smaller clients)
