Alberta No. 1 Geothermal Limited Partnership is an organization created to construct and commission 
Alberta's first optimized geothermal electrical and heavy industrial heat generation facility and well-field, 
located near the M.D. of Greenview's Tri-Municipal Heavy Industrial Park. This ~$60 million project 
involves drilling 3 purpose-drilled wide bore geothermal production and 1-2 injection wells and the 
installation of Alberta's first conventional geothermal heat and power facility. The introduction of 
geothermal heat and power into Alberta's market will create a new, baseload, emission-free energy source to support Alberta's transition from coal generation and long-term emissions reduction ambitions. 
The project has secured $25,462,500 from the Federal Government through the NRCan Emerging 
Renewables Power Program.
