Project Summary / Description:
With a high increase in levels of unemployment for the youth owing to lack of access to information on various things among them sustainable environmental management, proper health care and youth involvement in governance. A group of like-minded young women and men came together to form a youth cooperative by the name of Muchinga Corridors youth multi-purpose cooperative as a way of responding to the highlighted problem. In order to conscientize the communities in Tanzania especially the youth, Muchinga Corridors conducted talk Show Interviews once a month where they would call upon different stake holders both in public and private institutions so that they can share opportunities as well as give entrepreneurship skills and mentorship to the youths of rural and urban areas. Our Objectives and functions: -To use innovative approaches to support communities protect and conserve the environment. -To contribute to poverty reduction by promoting health and education rights. -To strengthen the capacity of youth to participate in the governance processes of their community. -To do anything within the ambition of human needs for the purpose of advancing human rights in society especially for the poor people.

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Our project empowers traditionally underrepresented in the leadership of climate movement as follows: - Capacity building in climate change and awareness - Formation of social groups in the communities for climate issues - Collection of their views and suggestions to the government and stakeholders on climate. - Forming climate clubs for climate in the schools - Conducting seminars and workshops on climate and air discussions and deliberations on media and social media.
