Project Summary / Description:
Planet Possible is building a global climate action network. We found that individuals care deeply about our planet but when it comes to taking action, they don't know what to do and where to start. We aim to solve this problem by providing a place to start. Planet Possible was founded in March 2021 by the Founder, Anisha, our lead developer - Ardi and UX Designer, Sanjana. It quickly expanded as people around the globe resonated with the sentiment of forming an online community centered around climate action and grew to 13 individuals around the globe by July 2021. Shortly after, we launched the product in September.

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
We are a team run by women, people of color, representatives across vulnerable community specifically in the Africa and Asia region. Many of our formalized partnerships span across indigenous peoples and GenZ youth. We truly believe the power lies among the people -especially the younger generations. Some partnerships include Youth4Climate and National Black Environmental Justice Network to ensure that our actions span across involving all people, especially those who are more affected by the climate crisis . Based on our partnership selection, our actions and our Planet Possible feed provides versatility in how others can get involved and support these organizations and individuals. For example, an individual can come to Planet Possible to take personal action or an action as part of a larger community to support an initiative, policy or group of people. An example of this would be to support the Indigenous People living in the Amazon Rainforest and ways an individual can contribute to support this group of people as well as actions to mitigate their personal contribution to the deforestation.
