Project Summary / Description:
Society must invest $2.3-$4.8T annually in renewable energy through 2050 (IPCC 2018), but only $681B was invested in 2016 (UNFCCC 2018), leaving an accumulating gap. Many individuals feel powerless about climate change. Most millenials (75%) believe they can influence climate change with their investments, but 80% are not invested in stocks (Morgan Stanley). We built our business on Regulation Crowdfunding that allows small investments in private companies via crowdfunding. We apply these regulatory changes to create opportunities for individuals to invest small amounts of money in local projects that directly deliver climate solutions alongside financial returns.

Raise Green is a platform to crowdfund equity investments into community climate cooperatives that democratize the ownership and benefits of the transition to a low-carbon economy and climate-resilient society. We are seeking to crowdfund a healthy, just and sustainable future by opening new financing pathways to tackle climate change, air pollution and income inequality. Our mission is to confront climate change through the deployment of impactful projects, reduce air pollution exposure in vulnerable communities, and create new investment pathways accessible to anyone.
