SapientNRG is the engineering project of Sapient. It tackles renewable energy, waste management, pollution, transportation and infrastructure. Despite the damage the world has endured over the past century, the effects are not irreversible; we want to change the momentum towards a clean tech world. Based in Amsterdam, it wants to make the Netherlands and the world cleaner, more efficient and more sustainable. Our team is committed to positively impact the world through the design, development and commercialization of MagnetGEN, our sustainable power bank, a cutting-edge technology that we deem to be perfectly suited for revolutionizing the consumer electronics market.

Our product, MagneticGEN, is a circular renewable energy power bank powered by kinetic energy. Our team aims at achieving a decrease in the total environmental impact by reducing the use of plastic, batteries and CO2 emission by providing consumers with a durable, sustainable and affordable alternative to regular power banks. Hence, our concrete goal is to create and commercialise a competitive product which is appealing not only to sustainability enthusiasts but to all power-bank users. We also aim at expanding our project and industrializing the design for larger applications, so as to create more environmentally friendly urban landscapes. Our product, MagneticGEN, would be ideal for vulnerable communities because it charges directly through movement, thus not relying on a power grid. It is built for the outdoors and can be taken anywhere and it is circular by design, meaning that it helps people in reducing their reliance on non-renewable sources of energy.
