Project Summary / Description:
Sauntr intends to use storytelling and creative production to empower audiences of all backgrounds to take action however they can to protect our planet from the worst effects of changing climates. This project started when Daniel and Kirsten met in 2022 and quickly realized how interconnected their work, skills, and personal missions are. While Kirsten was working for an independent contractor for the Global Brain, she started to conceptualize the idea for the production studio to compliment the work that Dani had already been doing throughout his ten year film career. After leaving the Global Brain, Daniel and Kirsten officially began pre-production on Sauntr projects based on their shared mission to reduce anthropogenic contributions to climate change while empowering marginalized communities who are most heavily impacted by the effects of changing climates.

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Sauntr uses content production and filmmaking to tell the stories and show the experiences of underrepresented communities in the climate movement - those who don‚ t currently have the means to properly make their voices heard and those who often don‚ t get seats at the table in climate discussions. At each filming location, we will be holding impact-focused workshops to teach children ages 8-20 the art of filmmaking, photography and videography to empower them to tell their own stories, to show the world their reality with a changing climate, and to economically benefit the communities through donated cameras and computers while teaching lucrative skills.
