Project Summary / Description:
Amaury lived in Beijing in the years before the 2008 Olympic Games and has been sensitive to air quality issues ever since. After he read Berkeley Earth's article on the equivalence between air pollution and cigarettes smoked, he talked about this idea with Marcelo during a tech meetup. With Marcelo's experience developing projects for the digital world, this idea grew into a concrete MVP, and two weeks later, the app was live on the app stores.

Both our co-founders come from diverse backgrounds: Marcelo is born in Brazil, and Amaury is half-French, half-Chinese. We plan to maintain geographic diversity in our company. Some further ideas we have to support diversity in our company: - Altering hiring practices to increase diversity - Prioritizing work-life balance of employees (e.g. flexible hours, possible remote work) - Strict and effective policies against harassment and workplace offense - Overall creating an open-minded atmosphere
