Project Summary / Description:
The creation of Mobility Lab as a qualitative and quantitative data driven research group is essential to profile current transit systems, research future service delivery models and connect DR passengers. Mobility Lab can create the infrastructure needed to collect data through GIS Mapping, heat mapping, and other methods in order to understand issues and create effective and efficient solutions to meet USC Transportation needs.

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Our main focus is to help our Closed Campus Community change the culture of Driving alone to campus through multiple means of Mobility Management tools. By placing all of the mobility options in an online platform called RideAmigos and creating an interactive space we call a Mobility Hub, we are making transportation sexy again by raising awareness of what other options are available to our CCC members. Along with the spark of subsidies for faculty and Staff and the implementation of the UPASS for all undergraduate and Graduate students, we have seen an increase in our TDM platform programs of 120% participation rates.

Mission Statement:
The University of Southern California‚ campus is nestled near the junction of two major highways and boasts easy access to LA‚ public transportation. However, the USC community faces many transportation challenges that prevent students and faculty from moving efficiently and sustainably. USC‚ Office of Transportation attempts to meet the transportation needs of the USC community through bus services, demand responsive transport, partnered rental car services, and electric personal mobility vehicles. To better identify issues and improve efficiency, we envision the creation of Mobility Lab -- a research center for students, alumni, and faculty to study transportation data and inform effective policy solutions for long-term sustainability.
