Project Summary / Description:

This project introduces Shower Stream, a patent pending motion-activated showerhead adapter, that saves water and energy by minimizing the occurrence of shower warm-up waste without interrupting the end user‚ shower experience. 

Over 70% of bathers leave their shower on and unattended while waiting for the water to warm up. This habit of accruing ‚ behavioral waste‚ leads to over 20% of water and energy wastage. 

The primary purpose of our startup team is to launch our product, Shower Stream, in the hotel industry thereby contributing to large scale utility cost savings while promoting water and energy conservation.

Our project is centered around an innovative technology that saves substantial amounts of water and energy in the hotel industry. The hotel industry is a major platform for diversity and equal opportunity consisting of several stakeholders from corporate office, management, maintenance crew, housing staff and hotel guests. The participation and cooperation of all of our customer groups is required for our mission to be successful. The successful application of our product Shower Stream enables members from all communities including those that are traditionally underrepresented in climate movements to play an active role towards addressing the problem of ‚ behavioral waste. 

Our customer discovery process includes creating awareness about the problem of ‚ behavioral waste‚ and instilling a sense of accountability about how their routine habits may lead to huge amounts of water and energy wastage. Shower Stream is a simple solution to combat shower warm up wastage. We hope members from all faucets of the hotel industry would spread the word about the ‚ behavioral waste‚ problem and the solution Shower Stream is providing. 

As an innovative research startup in the field of conservation and deep technology, we understand the importance of having diverse perspectives. We plan to expand our team with qualified applicants from different backgrounds and experiences so as to cultivate unique insights into improving our products and services. Therefore, pending the success of Shower Stream, we hope to welcome qualified applicants especially from underrepresented groups, and strive towards building a diverse team that contributes towards conservation and climate change solutions.
