Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
There are no differentiation criteria in our Label operations for Solutions coming from those traditionally underrepresented. That said, we build strong partnerships with collaborators to provide extra support in their Label application, and extra-visibility if awarded, to entrepreneurs in emerging countries, to women entrepreneurs, and to young entrepreneurs. For example, while this is not particularly needed in developed countries, we build joint activities with incubators to support emerging countries entrepreneurs in their understanding of the Label application process, providing 1 to 1 e-coaching all along the process. This has been done today with Zambia, Senegal and Argentina. We also build activities with the YE! (Youth Entrepreneurs) Community to connect with young entrepreneurs, and with WEAC (Women Entrepreneurs Association for Climate) to connect with women. For extra visibility, we nominate our Labeled solutions coming from emerging countries in prizes such as the UNDP Growth Stage Impact Ventures initiative (tackling inequalities and empowering poor and vulnerable people in developing countries); or the Tech4Islands Awards. Indeed, in our portfolio we count solutions that are low-tech and adapted to climate-vulnerable communities.
