Project Summary / Description:

USAFI GREEN ENERGY is a start up renewable energy company formerly Salimia energy limited (www.salimia.co.ke). Since 2018 we have been on a Mission on SDG7 on clean energy access to the refugees from Kakuma camp nothern Kenya and marginalized community. 

We have managed to get contracts and change old institution Cookstoves to new model and effecient Cookstoves. Among some of the beneficiary whom we have worked with LWF, Redcross,WFP through support from SNV. We as well does domestic cookstoves and we have so far sold over 2000 units within the camps on PAYG model. Our aim is to reduce emissions

We empower them through. 
Employment and as mentioned before our company and the current project does employ 80% of women and 20% of men all youths under 35 years running the company operations at their best. 

We as well have a department at our production workshop for the disability and training them to be Innovative. We as well target the widows through making them our sales contact of product distribution. 

Our area of target is in nothern Kenya where poverty level is at 70% and iliteracy therefore we try to solve the problem by providing clean energy access to all and as well equipped with new skills through integration and organized workshop
