To produce briquettes. Carbonized briquettes can act as a replacement for charcoal for domestic and institutional cooking and heating, where they are favored for their near-smokeless use. 

In comparison to charcoal, they generally burn for longer and have a more consistent heat output, which is preferred by certain market segments such as restaurants, hospitals, schools, and poultry farmers. The project aim to reduce carbon emission and create employment to the under served

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Yes the project targets women and youth within the communities, these target groups will be involved, Agricultural waste material such as maize cobs, crop stems/residues, cow dung etc are acquired from farmers at a given fee to enable them attain an extra income from material they deemed waste. Urban organic waste such as peelings, is collected from food markets, households and institutions. These are most times attained at no cost or very low cost.

Helping people:
Women are being empowered through their participation in identifying the scarcity of clean affordable energy in their community. They designed the project, supply the raw materials, produce the briquettes and market the briquettes and energy efficient cook stoves.
