Project Summary / Description:
To assemble our full-scale prototype Modular Wind Turbine System (MWTS), which is proven on smaller scales. The MWTS features a patented design that accelerates wind along super-structures to gain cubed effects in power capture, while traditional turbines replace blades, only for squared effects. The MWTS is placeable in previously inaccessible locations at a Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) that enables significant market segments to adapt local green-energy production. The modular nature allows users to stack additional modules on their system, instead of replacing large expensive parts, and can be maintained one layer at a time, while other layers generate power.

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Our invention comes from an expert in design who gives so much of her time to others. When she isn't working with our technology, she supports her family's general contracting business and serves as the only female code-inspector in Rhode Island. She also teaches dance twice a week and hand-sews dresses for girls in her class that face financial hardship. We are on the docket with Standing Rock Tribal Council and have been invited to share more about our interest to bring Native Americans independence in their energy resources. Currently, many Reservations are burdened by purchasing power from the US and their systems still don't meet their community needs. Our goal is to equip these communities and teach them how our system works to create jobs on the reservation, provide technical education, and guide them to producing power at a rate that they are able to sell back their excess to the U.S.
