Social and cultural transformation is achieved by mobilizing people through hopeful, action-oriented narratives and leading by example. For this specific purpose, The Y on Earth Community was formed in 2017 by a group of concerned parents and community leaders, following the publishing of Founder Aaron Perry‚ book, Y on Earth: Get Smarter, Feel Better, Heal the Planet. Since that founding, we have provided 170+ curated soil-regeneration and carbon sequestration events throughout the United States, have published the Soil Stewardship Handbook, children‚ books, and 60+ inspirational Community Podcast episodes, and have cultivated a global network of community mobilizing Ambassadors.

How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:

We produce and publish digital media, educational resources, and the Y on Earth Community Podcast; we curate and host leadership retreats, workshops, and symposia; we develop and disseminate biodynamic land restoration preparations; and we connect and collaborate with organizations and networks of organizations world-wide. In our "neuronal network" non-profit business model, in partnership with our Ambassadors and collaborating companies and organizations, we are like the mycelial threads making connections throughout the ecosystem to share resources, information, and inspiration locally, regionally, nationally, and globally.

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

The Y on Earth Community supports and facilitates an extraordinarily diverse array of community leaders and community mobilization projects throughout the United States and world-wide, including several key women-led, indigenous-led, ethnic minority-led, and low-income-led initiatives. Notable among these are the Three Sisters Sovereignty Project in central New York (Mohawk mothers and grandmothers returning to ancestral homelands for regenerative agriculture, traditional medicine, and sustainable solutions); urban food-forest projects in blighted neighborhoods in Akron, Ohio with Pastor Brian Kunkler (see podcast episode #62); Permaculure projects in rural New Mexico; food-access and food-sovereignty projects in New York, Colorado, and Ohio; among many others. Additionally, the Y on Earth Community provides a variety of free and subsidized digital resources to community leaders throughout the world ‚ already including: China, Indonesia, Mexico, Poland Tanzania, Tazmania and the Arabian Penninsula. One of our hallmarks is collaborating with people from an extremely diverse range of ethnic, political, educational, economic, gender, and social identities and backgrounds.
