Project Summary / Description:
The Solar Poverty Alleviation Research Know-how (SPARK) project is aiming to develop a non-policy driven, renewable energy based, comprehensive poverty-alleviation model that is sustainable in both financial and technological terms. Such a model can be replicated in other developing countries. Multi-dimensional analysis. Developing an ecology system for poverty reduction by utilizing management system and renewable energy that is socially inclusive, environmentally friendly and economically sustainable Innovative financing instruments. Identifying innovative financing tools and diversified financing channels (such as crowd funding, loans from the Asian Development Bank and corporate social responsibility) and leveraging private capital to enable the transition of solar power poverty reduction projects from policy-driven to market-driven.
