Project Summary / Description:
We are developing the natural rubber agroindustry in the southern part of central america. We develop susteinable, biodiversity friendly plantations, create good quality, steady employment and empower small farmers in low development index areas in Costa Rica, and potentially in Nicaragua and Panama. We invest in these areas and estimulate the local ecomomy. We also help local and regional industries reduce their emissions by providing close to the source raw materials. How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
The project captures GHG's through the reforestation with biodiversity friendly (we plant an agroforestry pattern with 10% native trees) natural rubber plantations. By estimulating the economy in LDI areas, we help lower pressure on conservation areas, reserve areas and national parks. By providing Raw material to local and regional industries we help them reduce their environmental footprint.

We work mainly in low development areas, close to conservation areas and national parks. We provide good employment condictions, empower small farmers and estimulate local economy. By working on these areas we help lower environmental pressure on adjacent natural forests and conservations areas. Through a Cooperative formed with our sponsorship we will provide financing, tecnical assistance and social programs for these communities.

Mission Statement:
"We want to bring opportunities through natural rubber". We believe giving people a means to generate income while planting trees and protecting nature is the best way to make a change in rural, proverty and unemployment stricken areas in Central America. We know natural rubber planted in a biodiversity friendly agroforestry system is a great way to make a difference. The fact that there is a huge market for NR and local industries need to import their needs, mostly from Asia is an opportunity that assures a good market for local produce.
