Since commencing operations in rural Cambodia in 2005, abundant surface and groundwater sources initially ensure no issues with water access, thanks to consistent rainy seasons and the Mekong basin context. The primary challenge then centered on water quality, with much of the rural populace facing bacteriological contamination risks in their drinking water. Over the past decade, we've witnessed climate patterns shifting, leading to new water access concerns and growing quality risks in certain communities we serve, increasingly susceptible to floods and droughts. Our drinking water focus system has demonstrated inherent resilience, requiring minimal volumes to meet drinking needs (as opposed to the 50 liters needed domestically), thereby alleviating pressure on local water sources. Moreover, our infrastructure's limited vulnerability, exemplified by a single production building, contrasts favorably with piped systems prone to extreme climate events. Consequently, our water kiosks have adapted adeptly, ensuring consistent safe water service and bolstering community resilience and health outcomes. Through leveraging local entrepreneurship and community engagement, we've fostered climate change awareness, also emphasizing carbon credit and greenhouse gas emission reduction. Additionally, collaborating with governmental and UN agencies at national level, we've actively integrated climate change risks into planning processes (raw water source selection, drought mitigation plans)
