Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Our project prioritizes equity and inclusivity, aiming to empower traditionally underrepresented groups in the climate movement. We recognize that marginalized communities, including women, people of color, youth, and climate-vulnerable populations, often bear the brunt of environmental injustices and face disproportionate impacts from climate change. To address this, we employ a participatory approach that ensures diverse voices are heard and valued in decision-making processes. This includes actively engaging with community leaders, grassroots organizations, and marginalized groups to co-design and implement initiatives that address their specific needs and concerns. We provide opportunities for capacity-building, leadership development, and skills training, particularly targeting underrepresented groups, to enhance their participation and influence in shaping sustainable urban development policies and practices. By fostering inclusivity and empowerment, our project seeks to build a more resilient and equitable society where all individuals have the opportunity to thrive in a sustainable future.
