Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Our project empowers traditionally underrepresented groups in the climate movement, particularly women, youth and marginalized communities, through several key strategies: Gender Equity: By prioritizing women's participation and leadership in project activities, we aim to address gender disparities in decision-making. Through training, capacity building, and income-generating opportunities, 1500 women responsible of local organizations of three regions are empowered to play active roles in sustainable agriculture and climate mitigation efforts. Community Engagement: Our project adopts a participatory approach that values the knowledge, perspectives, and priorities of local communities. We work with internal displaced women of the far north region (Maroua), groups of women who faced gender-based violence and most specifically girls who were subject to early marriage. Capacity Building: We invest in the skills and capabilities of marginalized individuals, including youth and mostly girls, by providing training and educational opportunities in sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and environmental stewardship. Our team will train 100 000 students from 100 different primary and secondary schools in sustainable solutions reducing the carbon emissions. Accessible Resources: By providing resources, such as technical assistance, funding support, and educational materials, we enable individuals from climate-vulnerable communities to actively participate in climate action and contribute to social and positive change.
