Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
AgriLife is committed to empowering those traditionally underrepresented in the climate movement, particularly smallholder farmers, women, and youth in Tanzania. Our project provides an affordable and climate-resilient source of animal feed, which is essential for smallholder farmers who rely on livestock for their livelihoods. By selling feed at a lower price point, we increase the disposable income of farmers, particularly women and youth, who are often marginalized in the agricultural sector. Moreover, our innovative waste-to-nutrient technology creates job opportunities for local community members, contributing to economic development and poverty reduction. Our project currently serves over 500 smallholder farmers in Tanzania, with plans to expand to reach 10,000 farmers in the next five years. By reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 2.94 MT per ton of waste processed, AgriLife is also contributing to climate action and environmental sustainability, which disproportionately affects vulnerable communities. Our team is dedicated to working in partnership with local communities to ensure that our project is inclusive, sustainable, and beneficial for all stakeholders. We believe that empowering those traditionally underrepresented in the climate movement is essential for achieving our mission of creating a more sustainable and equitable food system.
