Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Amazon Frontlines exists to support Indigenous peoples’ self-determination as they organize on the frontlines of the climate crisis in the Amazon. Our programs are built from the bottom up, based on trusted partnerships that empower Indigenous communities to lead and own processes that respond to their own visions and aspirations for the well-being of their peoples, cultures and territories. We provide over 80 Indigenous communities with the skills, tools, resources and networks needed for both immediate and long-term resilience. Our programs are led by or directly involve Indigenous youth and women: - Our Women’s Leadership and Entrepreneurship School, trains and invests in sustainable women-led solutions to community poverty, directly supporting 263 women running small businesses. - Our Intercultural education programs provide culturally informed schooling for over 120 youth from 3 Indigenous nations. - Over 100 youth are trained in the use of technologies and community-organizing skills needed to form land patrols that detect, deter and denounce extractive threats in over 960,000 hectares of rainforest territories. Our legal strategies advance Indigenous collective rights, particularly to Free, Prior and Informed Consent. - We strengthen the capacity of regional Indigenous organizations to plan and implement their strategies at scale.

Mission Statement:
Amazon Frontlines battles the climate crisis by securing Indigenous Guardianship of the Amazon. We build power with Indigenous leaders to form a bulwark of resistance throughout the Upper Amazon, working together deep in the forest, in our organizing center in Ecuador, and in the halls of power around the world.
