Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
The environment friendly solution (ZBCC) formulated for mitigation of climate change by removing atmospheric GHGs and reducing their emission has many co-benefits including enhancing crop production, ameliorating soil properties, reducing nutrient loss and water pollution. Therefore it is economically feasible to produce and commercialize to generate income. Thus, the project will be self-supporting business in the near-term and can attract local and international investors for its massive production that leads to bring impact on the agricultural and environmental sectors beyond the project lifetime. The project also devotes to realize equity by involving women, youth, underprivileged groups and climate vulnerable communities. Its outreach prioritizes benefits of these community parts who are involved in crop productions. In addition the project supports and gives priority for women’s and youth’s enterprises and investors to produce the organic solution for sale and revenue generation. Generally the project follows low-technology approaches which are of low cost, easily implemented and sustained for longer time, and invites several stakeholders including local, regional and national decision-makers, adopters and farmers. This helps policy revision that benefits these community parts. Hence, these all features make the project sustainable and locally led type that empowers those traditionally underrepresented in the climate movement.
